Across seven bear sanctuaries operated by FOUR PAWS, bears, rescued from terrible captive conditions and from the cruel bear bile trade, find a safe haven. They can swim in pools, dig dens, climb trees, and simply feel the grass under their paws, something that many may never have experienced before. They can express their natural behaviours in an environment appropriate to their species, under the supervision of experienced veterinarians and caretakers.
Our bear sanctuaries are located across Asia and Europe, where more than 150 rescued bears now live a better, happier life, recovering from their past trauma and suffering.
